Club Blitz Handicap Tournament

In the earlier years, the format of the Blitz Handicap Tournament was similar to the Blitz Tournament except that handicaps are placed on each player as assessed on their performance in the Blitz Tournament played the week before. The handicaps were the differing amounts of time that each player had for all of their moves in each game they played. This time might vary between 3 minutes and say 7 minutes.

Currently the Blitz Handicap Tournament is played as a Swiss with handicap times based on the players current rating i.e. 1 min up to 5 mins.

Aggregate points are awarded for players performances in their respective rating groups.

2024 Club Blitz Handicap Tournament

For this year the Club Blitz Handicap was held after the AGM as a Swiss Tournament (7 rounds) with handicap times based on the players current rating.
