In 2009 the Metropolitan Chess Club celebrated its 50th Anniversary. Highlights of the celebration included design of a club logo by Kelvin Rabey, perspex board numbers with new logo by Garry Taylor, 60 page history booklet produced by Mike McGregor (thanks to many of the contributors) with printing arranged by Kelvin Taylor and group photos taken by a professional photographer.
